Office Manager/Business Coordinator [New York City]



We are currently recruiting for an Office Manager to coordinate our business operations in the United States of America and Canada. This is an exciting and varied role with a high level of accountability required. 

Our objective is to have the office running self-sufficiently within 6 months, so your sales expertise and acumen will stand you in good stead in this role.


About the Role

Whilst managing the daily running of our new office in Manhattan, New York City, you will work with, and report to, our VP, International Business Development on day-to-day business (based in London, Great Britain).

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Opening and closing the office, and security of the office premises and all assets and property within the office (general office administration)

- Coordinate and manager all media sales work, advertising work

- Manage all business and communications directed through the office from various international locations

- Assist our China operations on all North America projects including:

- Public Relations, Sales & Marketing, Events Management, TV Channel and Content Distribution, Product Development, and all Business Development goals in general.

- Coordinate all recruitment, human resources and employment events with the goal of creating a small team of business professionals to work from the Manhattan office. Recruitment areas shall be administration, sales, marketing, and communications.

- Manage and appraise the team of staff that is recruited to work at the office.

- Occasional business travel to support events and contribute to the furtherance of business projects across the USA and Canada.


About You

You must have a background in the media industry, ideally in television media, as well as a background in sales/affiliate sales and business development. 

You will have successfully managed a busy office operation before, with success stories to prove it. You will be astute and have strong leadership skills, whether is managing staff or managing a client or an outsource account.

You will ideally be bilingual (English language and Mandarin Chinese language, both spoken and written).


Location: Manhattan, New York City (below 110th St.)

Contract: Full time, permanent

Salary: Attractive, fixed annual salary and performance-related bonus. Commensurate with experience.

Timing: Immediate start.
